Celeste is a Pilates and GYROTONIC® instructor with a background in rehabilitative fitness training, therapeutic massage, and PT modalities. She discovered Pilates as a teenager majoring in dance at Santa Monica College and has nurtured a personal dedication to the practice for over three decades. From her very first Pilates class, she knew it was something she would do for the rest of her life...when it opened her eyes to more creative forms of exercise. Celeste honed her skills among the movers and shakers of San Francisco until she was called to return to her childhood home, where she furthered her knowledge and education among the brilliant and creative minds of Los Angeles. Here, she was introduced to GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and - just like with Pilates - felt an immediate connection to this effective exercise art. She studied with renowned L.A. Master Trainers and received her GYROTONIC® Level 1 Certification at Eaglesnest, Germany in 2015. When she moved to Austin in 2017, she continued expanding her curriculum with GYROTONIC® Psoas Principles, Jumping Stretching Board, Level 2 Program 1, Level 1 Update Course and GYROKINESIS® Pre-Training certificates. Additionally, she earned prior certifications in Group Fitness Instruction (ACE), Pregnancy Protocols for Pilates, and Yoga-based Pelvic Floor techniques.
Her lengthy background in dance and movement lends to Celeste's ability to work with all body types and help people prevent or recuperate from injuries. She finds interacting with a variety of people, while helping to improve their overall health and well-being, to be deeply fulfilling. Her affinity for free-flowing movement comes to her naturally, thanks to a childhood and life full of creative expression, travel, nature and music. Overjoyed to be back in her home state of California, she hopes to imbue this upbeat spirit to her friends and clients in a positively fun way.
